4 WHOLE MONTHS! Woweee ......

Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender. thebump.com (We are waiting!)

I am not sure how they figure out the whole fruit comparison thing. Maybe wherever they are from they have HUGE avocados.

How far along? 16 (Happy 4 months today!)
WeeksWeight Gain? 2 pounds (the fudge pops may have not registered yet. :)
Baby's Heartbeat: 156 (at 12 weeks)
Maternity clothes? I cleaned out my closet this weekend - um ... I have no clothes left. Shopping spree soon!
Movement: Waiting patiently...
Food cravings: Still making them up. Treated myself to Blue Bell Fudge pops. YUM!
Gender: Not sure ...
Labor Signs: Heck no.
Belly Button in or out? Stay IN!
What I miss: Sleeping on my back and stomach ... and my clothes fitting.
What I am looking forward to: Everything!
Weekly Wisdom: Baby furniture is in and put together. I read tons of reviews on the stuff before we ordered it ... if it got a bad review it was b/c the woman tried to assemble when she was 9 months. HELLO!? Why would you do that? Order and assemble early when you can still move.
Milestones: We bought a new car ... actually a mommy-mobile. It's a Chevy Traverse ... way cool! We love it. Weird ... now we have a room full of baby furniture, a bigger car, and we are told we are going to have a baby in 5 months. Crazy!
Daddy to-be thoughts/comments: He loves the new furniture ... especially "how it all matches." Good thing I didn't order different color stuff. ;)

15 Weeks ... Gotta love oranges!

Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now out measure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements. ~The Bump

How far along? 15 Weeks
Weight Gain? 2 pounds
Baby's Heartbeat: 156 (at 12 weeks)
Maternity clothes? Not yet, but I do have to keep my pants unbuttoned.
Movement: Waiting patiently... they say at 16 weeks. So next week I will lay real still and wait.
Food cravings: Not really, so I am making them up ... ice cream and hamburgers!
Gender: Not sure ...
Labor Signs: Uhh ... no.
Belly Button in or out? Stay IN!
What I miss: Sleeping through the night. Really ... as I wake up every 2 hours to potty - I think ... why does God do this? And I am pretty sure He is just preparing me for waking up all the time to feed. But, I feel like right now ... in the early stages - I just need sleep! I will have that discussion with him tonight - at 2am when I am up. :)
What I am looking forward to: Everything!
Weekly Wisdom: Still not so wise
Milestones: I can see the baby bump and so can Mattie. We ordered some of the baby furniture.
Daddy to-be thoughts/comments: After we ordered the furniture ... he said that this is becoming more and more real!

Going Back ....

The posts may be a wee bit out of order ... but I finally am putting pictures up. Matthew and I found out about our new little one while on vacation in Vegas. It was the day before Mother's Day. The next day at Mass they had a blessing for all mothers. It was awesome. We were still in shock!

This is only 2 of the 3 tests I took. Just to make sure. :)

We are on a 20 passenger plane to Atlantis ... and no one knows but us! :)

We waited until the 2nd night to announce the big news (the first night, Matthew had to drink double ... I was fake drinking!). As you can see, mom is still in shock and can't believe I didn't tell her ... and dad needed a beer! :)

I have always wondered what it was like for pregnant women when people touch their tummy all the time. Now I know. A little strange in the early stages, because you just feel fat. I think it will be different when I have a big belly.

Happy Daddys!
Happy Mommys!

Such a fabulous place!

14 weeks and counting ...

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

I thought these questions were cute. I borrowed them from a friend's site, who borrowed them from a friend's site. :) Nice.

Daddy to-be thoughts: At the ultrasound he couldn't believe that the baby had arms and legs and a big ol head and ... was moving! He asked lots of questions ... it was way too cute!

Baby is a Peach!

Week 13: Peach

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

New to the world of blogging ...

Hello! Many people have asked to see pictures of me and baby along this journey. And this seems to be the easiest way to share news with people from all over. It may take a while to get the hang of it ... but I will try. So, now I am going to post this as my official first blog!

Enjoy!
